For skiing and snowboarding, Sunday River Resort accepts the Ikon pass in addition to offering seasonal or day pass lift tickets and has more than 130 trails spread across 8 interconnected mountain peaks.
Mt. Abram: Mt. Abram offers a wide variety of trails for skiing and snowboarding. The mission at Mt. Abram is to welcome every guest to the family each time they visit. They focus on maintaining an unpretentious, family-oriented environment as they provide the highest quality skiing and riding experience for families of all ages and abilities.
Pleasant Mountain keeps 20 trails lit past sunset for all those who enjoy night skiing. Minutes from the Bear Mountain Inn, this great ski area offers over 40 trails, 7 glades, 3 terrain parks, and snowmaking on 98% of terrain.
Carter’s XC Ski Centers: The Bethel trail features 55 kilometers of beginner to expert Cross-Country Skiing in Bethel, Maine which affords tremendous views of Sunday River Resort across the valley, and the Mahoosuc and Presidential Ranges. The Oxford trail features 40 km of beautifully-groomed Maine Cross Country Ski trails. The Oxford, Maine location has one of the best beginners to intermediate trails in New England.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are also many local snowmobiling trails to enjoy. In fact, Bear Mountain Inn + Barn lies directly on one of these trails and our Winter Pub is a popular stopping spot for snowmobilers looking to refuel with delicious pub fare and a selection of local beers on tap.
