Ski Packages
in Maine
at Bear Mountain Inn

Bear Mountain Inn is an ideal location for Maine skiing,
situated between three of Maine's most popular ski areas: Sunday River's
massive eight mountains with over 120 slopes in Newry Maine, Mt
Abram in Bethel, Maine and the wonderful night-lit slopes
of Shawnee Peak in Bridgton Maine.
Hit the ski trails at one of these two downhill ski and snowboard
slopes and enjoy the state of Maine's unsurpassed big mountain beauty! Maine's
numerous mountains provide downhill skiers and snowboarders with some of the most
challenging ski trails and best snow conditions in all of New England and Western
Maine. Terrains vary from easy, gentle beginner ski trails to intermediate and
very steep advanced ski slopes. Trails are long and well
groomed, yet lift lines are usually shorter than those of Vermont and New
Hampshire, giving skiers more runs per day and more value for the dollar. Maine
averages about 200 inches of snowfall annually, and most Maine ski areas
and Maine resorts are well equipped with the latest snow-making equipment,
providing the very best conditions possible based on weather and temperature.
In addition to Maine's downhill skiing, cross country skiers and
snow shoeing enthusiasts will find plenty of trails and backwoods beauty in
Maine. The state offers over 325 kilometers of cross
country ski trails, all meticulously groomed, at Maine's Nordic ski touring
centers. Many of these Nordic centers host regional and sometimes
national, ski races and events over the course of the season. The ski season in
Maine typically runs from late November (weather permitting) until mid April.
