Winter Activities In Maine At The Bear Mountain Inn
Wintertime is a very special season - Many of our guests enjoy snowmobiling in Maine as well as alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Bear Mountain Inn is conveniently located on a major ITS Snowmobile Trail, and we can provide our guests with a Snowmobile from Western Maine Snowmobiles. Our great location also means our guests are just minutes from Shawnee Peak in Bridgton and Sunday River in Bethel.

 Snowmobiling in Maine
Bring Your Own Snowmobile to the Inn and snowmobile through Maine's beautiful forests. From the Inn connect to all Major New England Trail Systems.
Rent a Snowmobile through Western Maine Rentals for full day or more. Advanced reservation required. Tell us when you book reservation. Dog Sledding

 Ice Fishing
Ice Fish on your own at Bear Pond. Come to where big fish bite. Please bring your own equipment for ice fishing or let Whit Birch Guide Service Outfit you. Visit Captain Paul Bois of White Birch Guide Service.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing along Bear River and throughout our 52 acres. Bear Mountain Inn will provide you with a pair of snowshoes.
Downhill Skiing

Snow Tubing
Tobogganing and Tubing Bear Mountain Inn has a hill for sledding or tobogganing. However for a really exciting a dventure visit a local tubing hill and feel the thrill of winter on a tubing adventure.
Cross Country Skiing
Cross-Country Ski on our property or enjoy Carter's Cross Country Skiing Center in Bethel. $10 per person and rental equipment available at a $10 extra charge. Carter's has miles of groomed trails. Call Carter's for more information 207-824-3880.
Sleigh Rides
Sleigh Ride on 100 acres of meadow and woods while being pulled by a team of Belgian Draft Horses. Your ears a re being treated to the jingling of sleigh bells as you travel through a winter wonderland of crisp winter air. $50 plus $10per person at High View Farm.
Ice Skating
Ice Skating Bring your skates and enjoy ice skating on Long Lake. A portion of the lake is maintained for your skating pleasure. 2 miles from Bear Mountain Inn.
